In Franklin, if the climate was any more dry and arid, we'd be seeing tumbleweeds swirling past us while driving down Loomis Road. Economic development in Franklin is nowhere near what it should be, and while I'm trying not to point any fingers, let's just say something needs to be done soon. I wish I could figure out why some of our leaders can't grasp that.
Meanwhile, today's Journal Sentinel has two editorials - one from the Mayor of the City of Brookfield and the other from the Chairman of the Town of Brookfield. They're arguing via the Journal Sentinel over where the best place would be for a new, Marcus Corporation-led town center project that would include Wisconsin's first Von Maur department store.
Gee, if only Franklin leaders had the opportunity to be in a position to actually wage an editorial battle with some other southern suburb over who gets more economic development in their community!
